Topland, one of the UK’s largest privately-owned investment groups, has made three new additions to its structured finance, development and finance teams as it targets further growth.
James Conolly joins Topland’s structured finance team, having previously worked for global investment bank, Credit Suisse. James brings expertise in debt structures, financial modelling and corporate funding arrangements across a range of real estate asset classes.
With Topland continuing to provide finance facilities for a range of high-profile assets in central London and the regions, James will work as part of Topland’s structured finance division to further expand its growing loan book.
Alex Bailey also joins the group as a project manager from property developer and investor, Dorchester Regeneration. Alex brings over a decade of consultancy experience in project management, planning and stakeholder engagement for commercial, residential and retail assets. Alex will work alongside the business development team to boost its £700m pipeline – which includes £200m speculative office scheme Verdant which is now entirely pre-let to Tik Tok – as well as managing the delivery of future assets.
In addition to James and Alex, Topland has also welcomed Ben Husbands who joins as head of tax within its finance team. Ben previously worked for office space specialist, CLS Holdings, and brings more than 25 years of tax advisory and compliance experience. Ben will lead on all group tax matters.
Sol Zakay, chairman of Topland Group, said: “Topland’s growth continues to be driven by our commitment to our people and our company culture – helping us to recruit and retain the industry’s best and brightest. “James, Alex, and Ben represent another exciting addition to the team at our new base at Wigmore Street and I look forward to seeing the impact they have across the business.”
