Topland Group, headed by Sol Zakay, has announced it has exchanged contracts to buy 233 Shaftesbury Avenue.
The building, with its striking exterior, is a Grade 2 listed office building comprising circa 15,000 square feet and completely refurbished to Grade A standard.
The newly refurbished building sits at the junction of the West End, Soho and Covent Garden markets and has never before been presented to the market for leasing.
The building was acquired in an off market transaction.
It comprises ground and five floors with a roof terrace and modern Grade A floor plates that would make a spectacular self contained headquarters building.
Mark Kingston, Managing Director of Topland Group said: “This was a rare opportunity to acquire a unique building in the West End and we are excited to be able to present it to the market. The building is of top quality and will provide an opportunity for a tenant to acquire its own headquarter building with a spectacular frontage and Grade A specification.”
Zakay, who has been abroad for the last four years working with Topland Group Holdings latterly as chairman of the group, has returned to England to head the UK operations of the group and drive forward a substantial UK property investment drive.
Topland Group have appointed DTZ and BSDG Sharpes Porter as letting agents for the building.
