After a year of planning, The Royal Crescent Hotel and Spa unveiled its new ‘The Wedding Garden’ on 9th June, providing the perfect outdoor setting for a beautiful English wedding in the heart of heritage Bath.
The Wedding Garden at The Royal Crescent Hotel and Spa is a unique outdoor wedding venue – and the only one of its kind in the city – allowing guests to wed in the open air in the heart of Bath. Designed by local architect Nick Shipp, The Wedding Garden has been carefully crafted by Bath landscape designer Alison Jenkins, who previously worked her green-fingered magic on the hotel’s ‘The Taittinger Spa Garden’ in 2015. The Wedding Garden is a haven of fragrant floral surroundings with borders of Snowgoose, Banksiae and William and Catherine roses, nestled amidst the beautiful scent of Magnolia and Wisteria, creating a neutral coloured backdrop to perfectly accompany any colour scheme.
Everything about a wedding at The Royal Crescent Hotel and Spa is bespoke and private, from the ceremony in The Wedding Garden accommodating up to 60 guests, to the spacious Garden Villa suites from which the happy couple can step straight out into The Wedding Garden to celebrate their union. The hotel’s dedicated wedding planners are on hand if needed to ensure that every element of the special day is perfect.
The Royal Crescent Hotel and Spa has also created three-tiered bespoke wedding packages for a truly personal celebration; Signature, Magnum, and for the ultimate luxury package, Jeroboam. These include the likes of a personal consultation with the Chef, Sommelier and photographer; expert jewellery and bridal gown consultation; a choice of a delicious three, four or five-course seasonal menu; a pre-wedding spa day for the couple in the newly regenerated The Spa & Bath House; a rehearsal dinner in a private dining room; and a complimentary pre-wedding Taittinger Champagne drinks reception for guests of the Garden Villa. The Jeroboam package also includes a one-night mini-moon to continue the celebrations, before the happy couple are chauffeured home with a bespoke Royal Crescent Wedding Basket Hamper. A first anniversary stay is included in the package, too.
The Royal Crescent Hotel and Spa has also partnered with local experts to offer bespoke, intimate celebrations for brides-to-be. These include local luxury wedding dress company, Carina Baverstock Couture, jeweller Nicholas Wylde, and Bath florist Crescent Flowers, available to assist in creating that perfect partnership from diamonds to delicate floral creations.
The four-bedroom Garden Villa can become guests’ own private residence within the hotel’s one acre of stunning secluded gardens, in which to enjoy a truly luxurious and bespoke experience with family and friends. Accommodating up to 10 people, it includes two classic bedrooms and two luxury suites, making it the perfect setting for not only weddings, but family gatherings, special celebrations and weekend ‘staycations’ with friends, too.
General Manager, Jonathan Stapleton, comments: “We are thrilled to finally be unveiling The Wedding Garden, and to be able to offer guests a truly unique outdoor venue in the city, perfect for intimate ceremonies in the heart of Bath. This dedicated wedding venue paired with the expertise of our wedding partners offers a personal experience which is all part of the bespoke wedding offering available at The Royal Crescent Hotel and Spa.”
Sol Zakay, Executive Chairman & CEO of Topland Group also comments: “As part of Topland’s continued investment I am delighted to see this next phase of our enhancement into the hotel come to fruition. The Wedding Garden compliments our investment in the hotel bedrooms and recently completed spa. I am pleased to see the accolades the hotel continues to receive”.
