The 220-bedroom Holiday Inn Express Manchester has been built using purpose-built steel containers complete with premium fully-finished interior fixtures and fittings, incorporating full height windows, carpet, wallpaper, ceiling and light fittings which were installed before being delivered to site.

Peter de la Perrelle, Managing Director of Tower Hotel Management, operators of the new hotel, said: “This has been a fantastic project to see through from its conception to launch.

“As the official partner hotel for EventCity, and being next door to intu Trafford Centre, there’s already a strong demand for beds. EventCity has some huge shows coming up this year and we’ve been taking bookings well ahead of opening, with a full house for our first weekend.

“The hotel is Holiday Inn’s latest design with cleverly designed modern rooms to maximise space, focus on technology and enhance the entire guest experience. The planned arrival of the TfGM Metrolink line in several years’ time will only increase the hotel’s appeal.

The hotel is a project by the joint venture, Topland Group, Marick Capital and Mill Lane Estates.

Tower Hotel Management, part of the Peel Group, has been awarded the management contract to operate the new Holiday Inn Express hotel at Trafford City, Manchester.
